Epsilon Systems Wins Contract to Provide Rugged Flat Panel Displays (RFPD) to Raytheon Missile Systems
San Diego California (June 23, 2008) – Epsilon Systems has been awarded a contract for design, development and production of Rugged Flat Panel LCD Displays that will be used in the operation of the Phalanx 1B, Close-In Weapons System (CIWS). The Phalanx 1B CIWS system is fielded both afloat on U.S. Navy vessels as well as on mobile platforms in support of ground forces. The RFPD is designed to operate in the harshest of conditions encountered by the military to include extreme shock, vibration, electro-magnetic interference and high heat, humidity and low temperature environments.
Epsilon Systems continues to design and manufacture various sized display (RFPD) units for the US Navy and other industry partners that meet similar demanding military and industrial use requirements as well as stringent quality criteria. Having an ISO 9001:2000 certified quality management system for the design, assembly and test of electronic assemblies for military and commercial applications, the Epsilon Systems Products Business Unit also works closely with government and industry partners to provide customized solutions for the application of rugged electronics assemblies.
