Quality Assurance
Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. (www.epsilonsystems.com) is pleased to be a part of the NAVSEA SeaPort-e Team and takes great pride in producing high quality products and services. Epsilon Systems is comprised of operating business units which include the Marine and Industrial Services (MIS) Sector, Fleet Engineering Services (FES) Sector, Nuclear Operations and Environmental Management Services (NOEMS) Sector, Information Technology and Communications (IT&C) Sector and the Rugged Engineered Products (REP) Sector.
The sector General Managers (GM) report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and are the senior executives responsible for business operations and quality. The Corporate organization chart depicts lines of authority and reporting relationships for the operating business lines and organizational infrastructure. It is periodically reviewed and revised when required. The current corporate organization chart is available by contacting the SeaPort-e Customer Satisfaction Representative.
Each sector has established a QMS that conforms to the American National Standards Institute/American Society for Quality (ANSI/ASQ) Q9001: 2000 / ISO 9001:2000 or ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Standard. The QMS also complies with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Standard Item 009-04, where applicable. Epsilon Systems has adopted these standards to demonstrate its commitment to quality as an integral part of its business operations and structure. Continuous Process Improvement and Lean/Six Sigma (LSS) are a part of the primary tools for ensuring that Epsilon Systems products and services consistently meet or exceed customers’ expectations. Administrative support is provided by the respective organization’s Quality Management Representative (QMR) and oversight provided by the respective organization’s GM or Director. The Rugged Engineered Products Sector is ISO 9001:2008 certified for design, assembly and test of electronic assemblies for military and commercial applications. Epsilon Systems also has LSS Black Belts and Green Belts who are certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS)
The QMS consists of a five-tiered system of standards, policies, procedures, forms, etc. that as a whole, comprise the Epsilon Systems approach to achieving quality.

The Sector Level QMS Manual provides a general overview of the Quality Management System, Quality Policy and Quality Objectives. Each section of the QMS manual includes the method by which Epsilon Systems meets the standard requirement or refers to a QP or SOP, if appropriate
The Corporate or Sector Level SOPs or QPs define how Epsilon Systems complies with standard requirements and responsibilities. Procedures may reference Work Instructions, Records, Forms, and Flow Charts, where applicable
The Corporate or Sector Level Work Procedures, where needed, provide detailed step-by-step instructions. Work Procedures reference Records, Forms, and Flow Charts, where applicable
The Corporate or Sector Level Forms, Flow Charts and Records provide documented evidence of implementation
